Juanita Espinosa, Director of the Native Arts Circle, received $1,000 to attend the annual assembly of the Fifth World Assembly of Community Radio Broadcasters in Oaxtepec, Mexico. Special attention at the conference will be given to Native stations of the Americas. Among the offerings are seminars titled Native Radio in the Americas and Women in Community Radio. Espinosa hopes to make connections that will lead to wider dissemination of an interview project she's developing with Native grandmothers.
