$20,000
The Native Arts Circle, Minneapolis, Minnesota, received a grant of $20,000 in support of two regranting programs for artists. The mission of the Circle is to educate the general public to better understand and appreciate Native American art and its related cultural value; and to support and promote artist development within the Native American community. Jerome Foundation has been supporting the Circle since 1990. In the recently completed year, Jerome funding was used to subsidize a Support Grant regranting program for artists. In 1995, the Circle will add to that an Artistic Production Grant program, toward which Jerome money will also be directed.
