Film and video curator Marlina Gonzalez-Tamrong received $5,000 to spend one month in Paris and London. Gonzalez-Tamrong will explore curatorial possibilities to bring to the Twin Cities film and videos by artists of color based in France and the United Kingdom.

Artist David Hall received $1,000 for two weeks in Tultpec, Mexico, to witness the pyrotechnic Fiesta of the Torito's living fireworks. Hall's work is a combination of sculpture and pyrotechnical performance; attendance at the festival will expand his knowledge of those forms.

Choreographer and dancer therapist Marylee Hardenbergh received a grant of $2,296 for the purpose of travel and study in London, England, for two weeks. Hardenbergh will study space harmony/choreography at the Laban Centre for Movement in Dance.

Photographer Shannon Kennedy received $1,000 to spend two weeks at the Women's Studio Workshop in Rosendale, New York. The primary purpose of her travel is to continue experimenting with electronically manipulated imagery in photography, free from outside distractions. She desires to make contact with a large network of artists and educators, to increase her potential for future teaching and exhibition opportunities.

Patricia Kirkpatrick, a poet and educator, received $3,000 to spend two weeks in Czechoslovakia. Kirkpatrick will spend time in the Museum of Children's Art in Prague in preparation for writing a long poem about a drawing by an inmate of the Terezin concentration camp on display in that institution.
