Scholarships available for Americans for the Arts

Americans for the Arts, a leading nonprofit dedicated to advancing the arts in America, is hosting their 2019 Annual Convention in the Twin Cities, June 13-16. The convention will feature:

  • 40+ workshops, panels, and interactive sessions on community development, arts education, leadership, equity, public art, advocacy, and more
  • 100+ speakers, including practicing artists, elected officials, arts administrators, and community leaders
  • 2 Preconferences focusing on Public Art and Civic Design, and Intercultural Leadership

Early career artists, who are residents of Minnesota or the 5 boroughs of New York City, and who are interested in attending may apply for a scholarship to attend.



The deadline to apply is March 11, 2019.

Conference attendees

Artists who are eligible for Jerome Foundation support:

  • Are in the early stages of their creative development
  • Are not students
  • Generate new works (for example, are choreographers versus dancers)
  • Are actively creating new work in their chosen artistic discipline(s)

You do not need to be a Jerome grantee to apply—just Jerome eligible!
