The Native Arts Circle, Minneapolis, Minnesota, received a grant of $20,000 in support of two regranting programs for artists. The mission of the Circle is to educate the general public to better understand and appreciate Native American art and its related cultural value; and to support and promote artist development within the Native American community. Jerome Foundation has been supporting the Circle since 1990. In the recently completed year, Jerome funding was used to subsidize a Support Grant regranting program for artists. In 1995, the Circle will add to that an Artistic Production Grant program, toward which Jerome money will also be directed.

Performance Space 122, New York City, received a two-year grant of $29,000 to support a commissioning program for emerging performance artists in the 1995 and 1996 seasons. P.S. 122 is a performance laboratory committed to supporting the development of work by individual artists who create live art with an authentic vision. It is dedicated to finding, developing and bringing to the public's eye new artistic creations from a diversity of cultures, points of view, ages and sexual orientations. In 1994-95, Jerome-supported commissions enable P.S. 122 to support the creative processes of artists Eduardo Alegria, Salley May, Andrea Mills, David Newmann and Peggy Pettitt.
