ST. PAUL, MN, February 3, 2026—Jerome Foundation is pleased to announce the thirteen recipients of Jerome@Camargo residencies, which will take place in 2026–2028. Recommended by a multidisciplinary panel comprised of artists, including former Jerome@Camargo residents, and confirmed by Jerome Foundation’s Board of Directors, this dynamic group of artists—working across multiple artistic fields, including visual arts, music, literature, dance, theater, film, and more—includes: Leslie Barlow, Kayla Hamilton, Tali Keren, Halee Kirkwood, Jordan Demetrius Lloyd, So + Bex, Anaïs Maviel, Junauda Petrus, Efraín Rozas, Anna Samo, Witt Siasoco, Brooks Turner, and Chamindika Wanduragala.
At Camargo, artists are offered the time and space to reflect, research, experiment, and engage in creative development; to connect with a community of artists and scholars-in-residence; and to explore the resources of the Aix-Marseille-Provence area during their 4- or 6-week residency. “Time, space, and creative community are essential for artists,” said Eleanor Savage, President of the Jerome Foundation. “The Camargo Foundation, housed in what was once the creative home of our founder Jerome Hill, provides artists with the rare opportunity to step out of survival mode and into sustained creative inquiry. This environment allows new ideas, new forms, and new futures to emerge and nourish a resilient cultural landscape.”
Jerome Foundation and Camargo Foundation were founded by Jerome Hill, an Academy Award-winning filmmaker, painter, photographer, composer, and supporter of the arts and artists in the United States and Europe. Both foundations honor Jerome Hill’s legacy as an artist and philanthropist through their ongoing investments in artists and the arts.
Brief biographies of each Jerome@Camargo resident can be found below, along with descriptions of their proposed areas of research. These include technology, ecology, play, healing, histories of resistance, and formal experimentation and address deeply personal, socio-political, national, and global themes.
