Whetstone will investigate the traditional format of Bharatnatyam performance, its use of rhythmic cycles, themes and stories, and become acquainted with the terminology of the form. He'll study with Ramaswamy's master teacher Allarmel Valli, vocalist Raja Shekaran and others.
