Marc Anderson

Musician Marc Anderson received a grant for seven weeks of travel in Ghana, Guinea and New York City. The travel period will be taken up with intense study of traditional West African and Afro-Caribbean drumming techniques. In Ghana, Anderson will continue his study and performance of traditional drumming; in Guinea, he'll establish connections for a longer stay in the future and, at the same time, study djembe and dzudzun drumming. In New York City, Anderson will study traditional Cuban and Haitian drumming.
