MN / NYC Film, Video, and Digital Production Grant Programs
The Jerome Foundation operates production grant programs for individual film and video artists who reside within five boroughs of New York City and Minnesota. These programs serve artists who work in the genres of experimental, narrative, animation, and documentary production. It does not support installation, new media, or interactive work, which are subsidized in other Foundation programs. It also does not support commercial, industrial, informational, or educational work.
Deadlines and Notification
Minnesota and New York City Programs: Applications for the 2016 Minnesota and New York City Film, Video and Digital Productions are now closed. The next deadline will be Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at 4:30 pm Central Time/ 5:30 pm New York time.
After the 2017 program, the Foundation will assess the impact of a fixed annual deadline and make adjustments, if necessary.
How To Apply
Application Process: Once you have taken the eligibility quiz and reviewed the Policies and Priorities of the program, you may submit an application online. Go to the Apply page and setup a login name and password using the links below.
Filmmakers or digital creators wishing to apply, may do so once the application is open in 2017 by going to the Jerome Foundation website at www.jeromefdn.org, either login if you already have an account or create a user login, and click the link to start a new application for this program at the bottom of the online dashboard.
Applicants should download the Film, Video, and Digital Production Sample Applications Booklet available below for helpful program information, samples of successful proposals and budgets from past applicants. The PDF applications are for information only; they are not applications. You must apply to the programs using the online system.
Informational workshops are offered by Jerome Foundation staff to answer questions and assist applicants in the preparation of their proposals. Attendance at one of these workshops is encouraged for applicants who wish to receive detailed information about the program or ask specific questions about their projects. The Foundation currently is not accepting new applications for the General Program. Unless you are a current grantee requesting continued support for a program or project, please do not start an application. Contact The Foundation with questions.
