The Cedar Cultural Center Announces 416 Club Commissions

The Cedar is currently accepting applications for Round II of the 416 Club Commissions. Proposals are due by March 29, 2012. Please email sdahlen@thecedar.org for more information about how to apply. received a grant from Jerome Foundation to commission seven local emerging artists to create and perform new music. Artists will be chosen through a juried process by a panel of individuals involved with the local music community. Each artist will be paid $2,000 plus a $500 stipend for production expenses. Artists will be provided with the opportunity to use Cedar Seeder, our new crowd fundraising mechanism (more about this below) to raise additional funds for larger-scale projects. To apply, submit a brief resume, three audio or video work samples (not to exceed 10 minutes total), and a description of your proposed commission project (no longer than one page) by March 15, 2012. Submit your application by email to sdahlen@thecedar.org. Work samples can be included as email attachments or as links to uploaded files on a third party website.
