2011-2012 Funding Priorities

In fiscal 2011-12, the Jerome Foundation will continue to make grants in its General Program in all arts disciplines: dance, literature, media arts, multidisciplinary, music, theater, and visual arts. It will also accept individual applications to its New York City and Minnesota Film and Video Programs. The Foundation will announce by November of 2011 whether or not a Travel and Study Grant Program will be offered in 2012.

The Foundation will support a limited number of new grantees in its General Program. In making those grant commitments to organizations and fiscally sponsored artists, funding priorities will be in the areas of:

  • Literature in New York City;
  • Dance, especially choreographers, in both Minnesota and New York City; and
  • Music, in diverse styles, in both New York City and Minnesota.

While the Foundation has funding priorities for new grantees, it will also add new grantees in other arts disciplines.
