Is your request for support of production or post-production?

Limited eligibility

The Foundation places emphasis on funding projects in their early stages. Requests for productions that are more than half completed are eligible but represent a lower priority.

Does your work fall into one of these categories: documentary, narrative, experimental or animation?

These programs support individual film and video artists who work in the genres of experimental, narrative, animation, and documentary production. These programs do not support installation, new media, interactive work, commercial, industrial, informational, or educational work.

Are you in complete creative control of the project you are proposing?

Only applicants who have total creative control of their projects qualify for support. This person is usually identified as the Director. The Foundation understands that this person may also wear "other" hats, such as Producer, Writer, Editor, etc.

Do you have samples of past work that were directed by you?

The work sample is a critical requirement of the application.

Is your proposed work independent as opposed to educational, industrial or some other work for hire?

These programs do not support commercial, industrial, informational, or educational work.

Based on your answers, you are not eligible for the Film & Video grant.
